August 2011 ALI-ABA Land Use Institute Agenda Released – Boston, MA

The popular and information-packed ALI-ABA Land Use Institute will take place August 17-19 in Boston, MA.  The program schedule and faculty list has now been posted here: http://www.ali-aba.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=courses.course&course_code=CT020

The program starts on Wed. the 17th with an afternoon “head start” session.  On Thursday, the program will feature sessions focued on national trends in land use caselaw, and recent developments in the federal aspects of land use law.  Thursday will close with the faculty keynote lecture – this year provided by Gus Bauman, Esq.  If you have ever heard Mr. Bauman present, you will know that this is indeed a special treat!

Friday will offer concurrent sessions with literally something for everyone!  Whether your interests are green development, controversial land uses, urban agriculture, water, eminent domain, housing for an aging population, subidivision and site plan review or mixed use development – the faculty will provide substantive take home value.  For those looking for more skills-based offerings, the course also features sessions on hiring and preparing an expert witness, quasi judicial hearings and ex parte communications, and demonstrative evidence.  The day will close with an interactive ethics session.

This is definately a “not to miss” educational program with a great networking opportunity for lawyers, planners and others involved in planning and zoning decision making.
